Joe Palmer

Joe Palmer, whose full name is Joseph C. Palmer, was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He currently resides in Lexington, Ohio with his wife and three of his five children. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from Youngstown State University in 1977 and a master of library science degree in 1981 from the University of Pittsburgh. Since 1991, he has served as the Director of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library in Mansfield, Ohio. His service to Ohio public libraries was recently recognized by the Ohio Library Council, which named him the 2004 Hall of Fame Librarian. Joe Palmer has authored two books, published by Barnhardt & Ashe Publishing; Sand Castle and The Death at Sand Castle, The Sequel (due for release in June, 2011).
